When Jakob Nordanbro wanted to seek something new after years in service occupations and sales, he chose the IT industry - 'because IT is always relevant and grows day by day.' Today he works as a First-Line support technician and team leader at Nordlo in Falun, where he combines customer support with the development of the function. For him, the most important thing is to have his voice heard and to be involved in decisions that affect the daily work going forward.
I have previously worked in other service professions and sales and wanted to seek something new, thinking that IT is always in demand and is growing into something bigger day by day. Today I work as a First-Line support technician & team leader for the First-Line function at Nordlo in Falun.
A typical working day for me involves answering support calls and emails from our customers and often resolving the issues that have arisen directly. Otherwise, I escalate it to the other consultants.
Nordlo is a very stable and developing workplace. You get to contribute to decisions and don’t have to be afraid to express your opinions. Everyone gets their voice heard and feels important to the daily work. At Nordlo, we are good at collaborating between different offices, and there is a lot of great knowledge from various resources. If we encounter a problem, we can always reach out to colleagues in other locations. As a unit, we are very strong.
As employees, we always get to participate and contribute to decisions and do not have to be afraid to express our opinions. Everyone's voice is always heard.
As a support technician, new types of cases come in every day, and no day is the same as the other. You learn something every day. The most rewarding part of my role is being able to continuously develop our First-Line function and being part of the work moving forward.
Be receptive, dare to ask for help from others, and dare to collaborate.
With close collaboration and a good understanding of the business in focus, we have created many long-term and successful customer relationships across several industries.
