Skandia Fastigheter is a property company that owns, develops, and manages residential properties, shops, and offices. They found themselves in a transitional phase where the IT department wanted to shift from focusing on IT operations and system delivery to becoming a business partner in the company, with the goal of transitioning to a more proactive and efficient operation.
Before Nordlo stepped in as an IT partner, Skandia Fastigheter felt that progress had stalled. They had high ambitions to digitise the business but did not receive the support they expected, while at the same time, they wished to have a comprehensive provider who could take the initiative, invest time and energy in understanding the journey and the challenges that exist – and who also ensures to find solutions that develop the business.
Skandia Fastigheter made contact with Nordlo through a traditional procurement process where Nordlo took full responsibility for the IT infrastructure and operations, and now together with Skandia has developed both specific solutions and complete business systems. The server platform and the integration with the business system as well as the enterprise system, email, and CRM have been developed.
Personal computers have been procured, which means that all Skandia Fastigheters employees can work on their own device, while Nordlo's specialists have looked into the business's IT utilisation and adapted security solutions according to the starting point. During the collaboration, they jointly examined solutions and reviewed network and client security with regard to GDPR, which has allowed Nordlo to offer a wide range of security services.
The rollout of the new systems and platforms has been incredibly appreciated. The staff have been very positive and the entire operation has engaged as they were informed at an early stage and have been involved all the way.

The requirements were based on taking advantage of Skandia Fastigheter's existing resources first and foremost, rather than solely looking at the needs, which Nordlo has taken into account. Skandia Fastigheter has been able to reinvest money in various deliveries, which has led to more efficient operations. With laptops, the staff becomes more efficient, less dependent on the workplace, and works better while on the move, resulting in a much more attractive workplace with better tools than before.
Nordlo will continue to manage Zhipster's Azure operations going forward. Nordlo will also handle licensing, monitoring and incident management in Azure, as well as additional security protection.
For Skandia Fastigheter, it is important to continue driving change and the digitalisation of various processes, and by using several digital services, create greater value for the organisation. Nordlo is now working on building an integration platform for Skandia Fastigheter's business systems, while the development and monitoring of the external environment related to security continues.
With Nordlo as the IT operations provider, daily routines are being developed and improved, and together with specialists, operational processes are being investigated to provide Skandia Fastigheter with strategic support on their digitalisation journey.
Nordlo has shown great commitment to taking responsibility in all aspects of the delivery, from the service desk to security. The collaboration is already working very well, and the aim is for a long-term and rewarding partnership.
Skandia Fastigheter's offices, shopping centres, residential properties, and community properties are gathered in 121 properties with a total value of approximately 65 billion kronor. They have 150 employees with the aim of creating and managing urban environments that last a long time.
