deepens collaboration with Nordlo
Swedish fashion chain Gina Tricot initiated its IT collaboration with Nordlo back in 2016. In April 2023, the company chose to deepen the partnership by placing its entire server operations in Nordlo's Swedish data centers.
A longstanding partnership
Nordlo began its assignment as Gina Tricot's local IT provider in 2016. At that time, we assisted Gina Tricot with a comprehensive assessment of their entire IT environment, including network, server environment, and backup solutions, which had poor performance. Clients were slow, access to applications was inadequate, and user experience could certainly be improved.
The assessment resulted in a series of recommendations that Nordlo was also tasked with addressing. Since then, Nordlo has delivered servers, storage devices, networks, backup products, and surrounding services to ensure that the IT environment is fast, secure, flexible, and scalable throughout the chain.
“We have long considered moving our server operations and evaluated several alternatives. We chose Nordlo; we have been very satisfied with the collaboration.”
Outsourced IT operations
Together, Nordlo and Gina Tricot created a solid foundation. Since then, the needs have expanded. Nordlo once again gained the trust to move Gina Tricot's entire server operations to us. By outsourcing their operations instead of maintaining them locally, they no longer need to manage and invest in their own hardware. Through Nordlo, Gina Tricot gains a flexible solution in Swedish data centers while also accessing Nordlo's expertise, allowing them to focus on their core business.
“We have long considered moving our server operations and evaluated several alternatives. We chose Nordlo; we have been very satisfied with the collaboration. There are also additional benefits in having a partner that takes care of IT operations instead of dealing with multiple providers,” says Thomas Andreen, Chief Digital Officer at Gina Tricot. He continues, “In our industry, it's important to have control over the business and the right support systems. We want an IT environment that enables efficient development and operations, and flexibility is crucial, which we get with Nordlo.”.
Furthermore, Nordlo will have a strategic role and ongoing collaboration with Thomas Andreen and the team at Gina Tricot, looking towards the future. The next step is to assist Gina Tricot in their journey to the cloud. “We continuously develop our data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities to become more data-driven in our decision-making. It's about working strategically with the IT platform and integrating our existing strategic development environments in the cloud. In that regard, Nordlo is an important partner who is present, knowledgeable, and committed,” concludes Thomas Andreen.
