Nordlo commenced its role as the IT provider for Gina Tricot back in 2016. We assisted with a comprehensive review of the entire IT environment, including the network, server environment, and backup solutions, which at the time had very poor performance. The clients were slow, access to applications was inadequate, and the user experience could certainly be improved.
The review resulted in a series of recommendations that Nordlo was also tasked to address. Since then, Nordlo has delivered servers, storage devices, networking solutions, backup products, and surrounding services to ensure that the IT environment is fast, secure, flexible, and scalable throughout the entire chain.
Together we created a solid foundation to stand on. Since then, the need has expanded. Nordlo was once again entrusted with moving the entire server operation of Gina Tricot to our Swedish data centres. By outsourcing their operation instead of keeping it locally, they avoid having to manage and invest in their own hardware. They now have a flexible solution in Swedish data centres while gaining access to Nordlo's expert competence, allowing them to focus on their own business.
“We have long considered moving the server operations and evaluated several different options. The choice fell on Nordlo, and we have been very pleased with the collaboration. There are also additional advantages to having a partner manage IT operations instead of multiple different ones,” says Thomas Andreen, Chief Digital Officer at Gina Tricot.
In our industry, it is important to have control over the business and the right support systems. We want an IT environment that enables efficient development and operations, which is why flexibility is important, and we achieve this with Nordlo.
We have been considering moving our server operations for a long time and evaluated several different options. The choice fell on Nordlo, and we have been very satisfied with the collaboration.
Nordlo plays a strategic role and is in ongoing collaboration with Thomas Andreen and the team at Gina Tricot, looking ahead. The next step is to assist them in their journey to the cloud.
"We are continuously developing our data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities to become increasingly data-driven in our decisions. It’s about working strategically with the IT platform and integrating it with our existing, strategic development environments in the cloud. There, Nordlo is an important partner that is present, knowledgeable, and committed," concludes Thomas Andreen.
