Being relatively new in the IT industry but still having responsibility for client projects and ISO certification – it requires both courage and a willingness to learn. Yvonne Pettersen started as a project manager at Nordlo in Sarpsborg and has embraced an industry where "the answer from yesterday is not necessarily the answer today." Here she shares why continuous development and challenging tasks make Nordlo a rewarding workplace.

What does it really mean to be a project manager at Nordlo? We had a chat with Yvonne Petersen about how customer interaction and challenging tasks make Nordlo a diverse and developing workplace.
Yvonne Pettersen started working as a project manager at Nordlo Sarpsborg in October 2022. As a project manager, Yvonne has the overall responsibility for ensuring that our customers' IT projects are delivered within specified frameworks. "This involves a lot of interdisciplinary work, interaction with our customers, and varied days – which suits me very well." In addition to customer projects, Yvonne also works on internal development projects, including governance systems, work processes, and certification according to ISO27001/27002.

What is the best thing about working at Nordlo?
"The best thing is that you are constantly learning new things. What was the answer yesterday is not necessarily the answer today. The IT industry is driven by constant innovations, which means you must stay updated to keep up. I really appreciate that Nordlo prioritises education and development," says Yvonne, and continues. "It's important for me to be challenged. I am relatively new to the IT industry, so I learn something new every day. It is incredibly rewarding and inspiring."
Yvonne also highlights her colleagues, collaboration, and social gatherings as important. "I am proud to work with such a competent and skilled group here in Sarpsborg."
What are you looking forward to work-wise right now?
"Right now, I am looking forward to completing the ISO project so that we can get certified, and above all, to take on the new exciting client projects that are waiting for us in the spring."
