From consultant to Operational Consultant Manager and IT Architect – a development that demonstrates Nordlo's opportunities for skills development. As a consultant, he has met various clients and has been involved in everything from software issues to setting up entire IT environments. Now he designs solutions and focuses on Azure, with support from colleagues who are always there when the challenges feel overwhelming.

I have been working as a consultant at Nordlo recently, a role that has given me the opportunity to meet many different clients and participate in various projects. In my role, I constantly have the chance to further my education in the latest technologies so that we can evaluate which products and services would suit each client. I also have a great team of colleagues with whom I can always discuss different issues. Another aspect I appreciate about my consulting role is that the work is very varied. It can involve anything from helping a user who has problems with software to larger setups of entire IT environments.
Recently, I have started to transition towards my new role as Operational Consultant Manager and IT Architect, which feels very exciting!
Another aspect I appreciate about my consulting role is that the work is very varied.
I am currently working a lot on designing various solutions for our clients, setting up environments, packaging and developing services, as well as being on-site with our clients on fixed days. The areas I have focused on in technology over the past few years are Azure and the various services that can be delivered there.
At Nordlo, we support each other in a good way. We consultants complement one another by working in different special areas, from infrastructure and cloud services to digitalisation and automation. Together, we can develop very good comprehensive solutions for our clients.
I enjoy being out meeting clients, solving technical difficulties/challenges, discussing different solutions with my colleagues, and having a wonderful community at work. I have also had the opportunity to educate myself based on a training plan I have developed together with my manager, which is designed to help me excel in the areas I am passionate about.
We as consultants complement each other by working in different specialist areas, from infrastructure and cloud services to digitalisation and automation.
My work as a consultant means that I am responsible for some of our clients whom I then assist based on their circumstances. Simply put, it is about ensuring that the IT environment becomes a helpful tool instead of something that can be perceived as a necessary evil by some users.
What feels especially enjoyable about the consultant role is that it is challenging, varied, and that you get to meet and work with different people. To succeed in the role of a consultant, one should be engaged, proactive, and have a willingness to develop. It also helps if you are creative and can "think outside the box" when it comes to troubleshooting and designing new solutions.
The most challenging thing is that no IT environment is exactly like another and that all customers work in different ways. This means that one must make decisions based on their knowledge about what should be done in a matter, based on "best practice" and what is reasonable to do given the customer's circumstances.
The feeling of working at Nordlo is that one can always get support and help from colleagues. In new challenges such as, for example, large customer inquiries, we can always solve things together, even if it feels overwhelming when you get the question yourself at the start. Everything is possible! There are also good opportunities for professional development, both by learning from others and through personal development.
