SBTi is a global initiative, founded by the UN Global Compact and WWF, among others, with the aim of supporting companies in reducing their greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the Paris Agreement. SBTi requires companies to set science-based targets to reduce direct and indirect emissions in their operations and value chain.
Nordlo is committed to reducing emissions by 75 per cent within Scope 1 and 2, and 25 per cent within Scope 3 by 2030. By 2040, the company aims to reduce emissions by 90 per cent within Scope 1, 2 and 3.
“Nordlo has the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable transition, as IT and technology play a central role in many businesses. With the increasing amount of data and technological developments such as AI, it is crucial that we work more efficiently and circularly to achieve climate goals.”
To achieve these goals, Nordlo is looking at ways to work more efficiently with customers and suppliers.
“We have the privilege of working with major players, many of whom already have clear climate goals. Now we are becoming a clearer requirement setter and, together with both our customers and suppliers, we can drive the transition forward,” says Evelina Pallin, Sustainability Manager at Nordlo.
