Stockholms Kooperativa Bostadsförening (SKB), with 8,900 apartments across the Stockholm region, is moving from managing all IT operations in-house to appointing Nordlo as its strategic IT partner, responsible for IT operations and security.
“For us, it was important to find a strategic partner, not just a supplier,” says Anders Torvestig, IT Manager at SKB.

The new partnership between SKB and Nordlo marks SKB's transition from self-managed IT operations to a future-proof IT environment. The agreement includes server operations, service desk support, client management and Microsoft 365 services.
“For property companies, IT is becoming an increasingly important part of the business. Connected building systems, integrations, IoT solutions and growing cybersecurity requirements are creating new demands. Through this partnership, SKB can focus more on business development and digital transformation,” says Per Rosén, Head of Business Area Nordlo City.
In addition to improving security and operational reliability, the partnership will reduce dependency on individual employees and create better conditions for SKB's continued digital development. The agreement runs for three years and covers approximately 150 employees.
“One of the objectives of our digital strategy is to create a more robust, secure and future-proof IT platform that enables best-of-breed solutions and provides easy access to organisational data,” says Anders Torvestig.
“Working with Nordlo also gives us access to specialist expertise across a broader range of areas, making our day-to-day work easier and freeing up valuable time for our internal team.”
Understanding SKB's strategic vision
One of the key reasons SKB selected Nordlo over several other bidders was the company's understanding of SKB's strategic needs, combined with its local presence in Stockholm.
“Nordlo demonstrated from an early stage that they understood our needs and presented concrete proposals for how we could develop our IT environment. It feels like a great fit for SKB, where we know we will receive close attention and be treated as a priority,” says Anders Torvestig, IT Manager at SKB.
The agreement with SKB strengthens Nordlo's presence in the Stockholm region as well as within the property sector, where the company already serves a growing number of customers.
“The property sector is undergoing a digital transformation, increasingly driven by specialised solutions and connected networks. This requires a secure foundation, and our expertise and collaborative approach are well suited to supporting that journey,” says Per Rosén, Head of Business Area Nordlo City.
