Univers, based in Porsgrunn, has customers all over the world and their ventures involve extensive global operations. They have a long history dating back to 1991 and work with software development and the delivery of systems for monitoring and analysing renewable energy production.
Chief Technical Officer at Univers, John Baaserud, explains that they needed more IT capacity in 2018 and chose Nordlo as their supplier.
We saw that we were going to expand significantly in hosting and needed to build a solid hosting environment in the cloud and locally. It has grown from there, and Nordlo now does everything from purchasing new equipment to handling more advanced server setups and hosting services.

Custom security solutions and Hyper-V hosting with Azure
Nordlo delivers cloud services to Univers and works closely with the IT staff regarding expansion, maintenance, and operation. It was decided to expand into hosting services based on Hyper-V and cloud services in Azure, as well as to further develop and update security barriers and services.
Overall, this contributes to securing Univers's data by providing them access to systems, good availability, capacity, and performance. Bjørnar Stensrud, sales manager at Nordlo, reports that the collaboration with Univers AS has been both exciting and educational. "When we started the collaboration, the company was significantly smaller than it is today. The growth they have experienced in recent years means that Univers AS always has a need for updated and stable security solutions – also for their customers," says Stensrud.
