The current IT supplier did not meet the requirements, so a procurement process was initiated. Of four potential candidates, the choice fell on Nordlo – the provider that best met Montico's needs.
"Nordlo has done a very good job in the procurement process, but from the beginning, I saw you as an outsider. When we summarised all aspects and impressions, it was still Nordlo that claimed first place," says Chief Financial Officer and co-owner Lars-Göran Thorberg.
We wanted an IT strategy for the entire company to achieve a unified, secure, and functional IT environment.
The winning solution for Montico was to outsource the entire IT function. Today, around 150 users across more than 20 locations receive IT equipment, services, and support through Nordlo. As Montico's business is affected by shifts in the job market and political decisions, this flexibility is perfect. All users receive full support from customer service, which is especially important for satellite offices.
In addition to user equipment and support, Nordlo provides IT operations with monitoring, hybrid environments with Office 365, license management, and Print as a service. The capabilities of the Office 365 suite allow Montico to adopt more programmes than before and are curious about Omnia as a future platform.
Since the agreement started, a hired IT Manager has been part of the concept. This role has developed well and gained greater responsibilities over time. The position involves identifying improvements in the existing IT environment at a strategic level, as well as evaluating other suitable solutions.
