Nordlo has signed a multi-year agreement with Göteborgs Spårvägar, which has the largest tram system in the Nordic region with 173 kilometres of track. The assignment involves overall responsibility for Göteborgs Spårvägar's IT operations services, from basic infrastructure to digital workplaces and IT support.
“Gothenburg Tramways wants to streamline and automate its operations. We will help them build a robust, sustainable and secure platform for the public transport of the future and create the conditions for increased automation and improved service for both employees and passengers,” says Malin Dahl, Chief Operating Officer at Nordlo.
Nordlo will deliver and manage IT infrastructure, communications, security and digital workplaces, providing support for all 1,300 employees at Göteborgs Spårvägar.
‘Gothenburg Tramways was looking for a partner that not only manages, but also understands and develops the business. For us, it's about supporting a socially important business in its day-to-day operations, understanding the challenges faced by Gothenburg Tramways in depth and contributing solutions that strengthen their mission to keep the city moving in a safe and efficient manner.
Safety and accessibility are crucial in a socially important business. Modern solutions and the right tools minimise the risk of operational errors, while IT provides support in everyday life.
‘The IT environment needs to be reliable and an enabler so that employees can rely on modern systems and digital tools. Security is now an integral part of Nordlo's delivery, a matter of course for an operation that can never stand still,’ says Malin Dahl.
Demis Stavridis is IT manager at Gothenburg Tramways:
‘We are very excited that Nordlo will be our new partner for IT operations services and look forward to a successful collaboration."
