Skåne-based IXX is a family business that has successfully combined close personal engagement with the strength of a larger organisation. Today, two years after being acquired by Nordlo, profitability is higher than ever.
“We have gained greater capacity while retaining the same level of freedom. Our customers appreciate that, they want to speak to someone who has the authority to make decisions,” says Mattias Christensson, CEO of Nordlo Syd.

Nordlo’s operations in Skåne, Sweden, received a significant boost when IXX IT-partner was acquired in 2024. The 40-year-old family business was founded by Monika Christensson and, from 2014 onwards, was run by her sons Mattias, Fredrik and Olof.
“We were looking for a partner that could help us continue to grow, make us more professional, while preserving our family-oriented culture and entrepreneurial spirit.”
Today, Mattias Christensson is CEO of Nordlo Syd, with offices in Malmö, Ängelholm and Helsingborg. Over the past two years, revenue has increased from SEK 95 million to SEK 126 million, while profitability has almost doubled.
“Nordlo aims to be a close and long-term IT partner. For us, that means maintaining a family-oriented way of working and staying true to who we are.”
Nordlo’s acquisition model is based on companies joining the group while continuing to operate locally, retaining responsibility for their own business. This means decisions are made close to the customer, without lengthy decision-making processes.
“This allows us to be agile, flexible and adapt to the realities of each customer. It creates a unique relationship and is important for many businesses in the region. The sense of freedom and personal responsibility spreads throughout the company – we are not simply a production unit within a large corporate group.”
Local customer engagement is combined with resources from Nordlo’s national organisation. This gives customers access to broad specialist expertise in areas such as cloud services, cyber security and AI, while maintaining close contact with their local partner.
For Nordlo Syd, these resources have made it possible to broaden its offering and take on larger and more complex assignments. The ambition is to expand further across the region.
“We have invested considerable effort in bringing the organisation together, coordinating our offices and creating a stable foundation. Now we are ready to continue growing.”
Mattias’ brothers and the company’s founder, Monika, remain involved and are now minority shareholders in the Nordlo Group.
“They are proud of where we are today. We are growing as Nordlo while retaining our local identity. Nordlo’s way of working, with strong local roots and employees who are exceptionally committed, is a model that works – and we are proof of that,” says Mattias Christensson, CEO of Nordlo Syd.
Since Nordlo was established in 2018, 19 entrepreneur-led companies have been acquired in Sweden and Norway. In 2024, principal owner FSN Capital Partners invested SEK 1.5 billion to accelerate the company’s expansion.
