Magnus Blomberg, CTO at Nordlo, and Fredrik Almén, CEO at Nordlo.
Nordlo currently has a turnover of SEK 2.1 billion and 900 employees in 40 locations across Sweden and Norway. With the aim of increasing growth, both organically and through acquisitions, a new position has been created in Nordlo's Group Management, Chief Technical Officer, CTO, to which Magnus Blomberg has been appointed.
“My assignment is broad and includes evaluating new markets and areas of expertise for Nordlo, as well as reviewing potential acquisitions from both a commercial and technical perspective. I will then be involved in integrating the acquisitions we proceed with into Nordlo's group and ecosystem,” says Magnus Blomberg, newly appointed CTO at Nordlo.
Quality assuring and then guiding new acquisitions into the group is a critical process. This involves ensuring that the intended acquisitions fit into the group, ensuring that the new company follows the planned changes identified during the acquisition process, and also that the company is able to benefit from the synergies within the Nordlo group.
The work as CTO also includes maintaining strategic partnerships, including with Microsoft, to develop and strengthen Nordlo's offering.
“Our customers are facing a major shift in areas such as security and cloud services. This is a transformation that Nordlo needs to undertake together with our partners and customers. We must therefore continuously ensure that we have up-to-date contacts with our strategic partners so that we always have the right information and support from them.”
The new position as CTO will be a bridge between both expertise and corporate culture.
“It is one of my strengths to translate technology, business and corporate culture between different groups of expertise. I have always been driven by developing new things and have been involved in acquisitions at Nordlo for several years. Now I have time to develop that area further, which I am really looking forward to,” says Magnus Blomberg, CTO at Nordlo.
Magnus Blomberg comes from one of the three original Nordlo companies, Zetup, which he co-founded, and has since held the position of Technical Director.
“We know how good Magnus Blomberg is and see the potential in increasing his responsibilities and authority. In addition to his new role, Magnus will continue to be an internal sounding board for our various business areas and an advisor on Nordlo's technical choices and strategies,” says Fredrik Almén, CEO of Nordlo.
