Swedish Nordlo has acquired the IT company Ilder, with offices in Bergen, Stord and Fauske and revenue of around NOK 49 million. Through the acquisition, Nordlo strengthens its capabilities in customised software, integrations and digital solutions, with the ambition of taking on larger national client engagements.
“For us to grow in line with the increasing number of enquiries, we were looking for a partner that values satisfied customers, engaged employees and high-quality delivery just as highly as we do,” says Jon Arild Jacobsen, CEO of Ilder.

Fredrik Almén, CEO of Nordlo, Karolina Båvenholm, Head of M&A at Nordlo, Jon Arild Jacobsen, CEO of Ilder and Bjørn André Lerøen, Business Area Manager Nordlo Norway.
The Norwegian IT company Ilder has just over 20 employees and offices in Bergen, Stord and Fauske. The company has built strong expertise in areas including design and user experience, software development, IT security and project management. Its clients are mainly small and medium-sized businesses, including companies in the energy, industrial and maritime sectors.
“We have had a strong journey in recent years, and our clients appreciate our close and team-based delivery model. With Nordlo we gain access to a larger organisation, strong operations expertise and a broad network. This allows us to take the next step,” says Jon Arild Jacobsen.
Ilder complements Nordlo’s offering and strengthens the company’s position particularly within development and digitalisation.
“During the autumn we held discussions with several companies in Norway. Ilder stood out mainly because of the strong cultural fit, with a shared view on strategy and corporate culture, but above all the importance of satisfied customers and employees. That is Nordlo’s key success factor for growth,” says Fredrik Almén, CEO of Nordlo.
Two parties that chose each other
Ilder’s CEO Jon Arild Jacobsen is a driven entrepreneur who has founded and run several companies. Ilder has actively been looking for the right partner in order to accelerate its growth while maintaining its autonomy.
“Nordlo’s business strategy is to grow both organically and through acquisitions. We are constantly looking for profitable companies. And above all entrepreneur-led businesses with satisfied customers and employees, both in Norway and Sweden. This will be the first of hopefully several acquisitions in 2026.”
Largest in Bergen
Nordlo is the largest IT provider in Bergen specifically focused on small and medium-sized businesses. Through the acquisition of Ilder, Nordlo strengthens its presence in the region, increasing from 47 to around 60 employees.
“Our Norwegian development team is based here, and now we can take a stronger position in consulting and development. It also gives us the capacity to take on larger assignments.”
Nordlo already has eight offices in Norway, primarily in the southern part of the country. Through the acquisition, the company gains a presence in new geographical areas: Stord, just south of Bergen, and Fauske in the north.
“Nordlo’s model is built on close and committed collaboration, where local presence is important. We see it as very positive to now establish an office in the north. There are many customers here, particularly in aquaculture and industrial production, where we see good opportunities for growth,” says Fredrik Almén, CEO of Nordlo.
The ambition is to double revenue in Norway within the next two to three years.
“The market is increasingly demanding tailored digital solutions, automation and AI-based services. This is very exciting,” says Jon Arild Jacobsen.
