Nordlo acquires Acon AB

Nordlo, a leading Nordic IT and digitalisation partner, acquires Acon AB with operations in Lycksele and Umeå. This acquisition sees Nordlo enhancing its position in the Nordic IT market.

“The acquisition of Acon increases our competence primarily in the areas of retail and manufacturing industry, where Acon has in-depth, broad-based, industry-specific knowledge that has been built up and refined over many years. The company also has an extremely impressive customer base and a culture that is very much in line with Nordlo’s,” says Fredrik Almén, CEO at Nordlo.

Acon, a provider of IT operations that was founded in 2001, has seen strong growth and has for several years in succession won the “Supercompany” award from the business magazine Veckans Affärer. The company currently has 54 employees at two locations, and more than 200 clients all over the country in areas such as retail, SaaS and manufacturing industry. Acon’s offering, which centres around IT operations at a fixed price, is very much in line with Nordlo’s offering in the field of digitalisation for every day and the future.

“Acon shares Nordlo’s values of being close to our customers, acting with the heart and being a flexible and competent digitalisation partner. This will benefit both existing and new clients in both companies in the years to come,” says Fredrik Almén.

Acon is currently led by CEO Johan Bålhammar, who through this transaction also becomes a co-owner of Nordlo – in line with Nordlo’s strategy of inviting employees to become co-owners in the Group.

“As part of Nordlo, we’ll be an even stronger actor with a better geographical presence and broader competence. Our employees will also have a greater opportunity to develop, which is an important value that we share with Nordlo. Down the years, we’ve supported our clients to achieve their full digital potential by means of a close partnership. Together with Nordlo, we’ll continue to develop clients with greater opportunities and a stronger offering,” says Johan Bålhammar, CEO at Acon

Johannes Jaxow, one of Acon’s owners, is pleased that they have found a new home for Acon, one where the company will have tremendous opportunities to continue developing.

“The company was formed 20 years ago, and one of the success factors has been the entrepreneurial background, characterised by close relationships, strategic decisions and a strong desire to always keep on developing. This will be the next chapter for the company, and it is a journey we’ll be taking together with Nordlo. Furthermore, Acon’s competent employees will become part of a greater context, with an opportunity for co-ownership in the Group,” says Johannes Jaxow.

The acquisition of Acon means that Nordlo is growing to approximately 740 employees with offices at 41 locations in Sweden and Norway.
