Nordlo Sarpsborg enters into one of its largest partnerships to date - becomes a full-service supplier to the Skolt Group

Close co-operation and local ties were crucial when the Skolt Group chose Nordlo Sarpsborg as its new end-to-end IT supplier. The agreement, which was signed in May 2024, involves the delivery of operations and security to the Skolt Group's 330 employees, spread across seven locations in Norway.

– The Skolt Group is a large and exciting company with a desire to develop. We look forward to a close and forward-looking partnership, says John Arne Vonskar, account manager at Nordlo.

Skolt Holding AS is a family-owned company with business areas in Aggregates, Property and Construction. The group has its head office at Vålerveien 381 in Moss. The company is co-located with Moss Pukkverk and Skolt Eiendom. From being localised in the Moss region, the Skolt Group has over the years expanded its catchment area to include the rest of Østfold and parts of Akershus.

In the Skolt Group, Park og Anlegg is a market-leading contracting company with operations in eastern Norway, and with a wide range of services in areas such as construction, roads, water and sewage, district heating and green areas.

The Skolt Group was looking for a close partner, preferably with a local connection and specialist expertise in cybersecurity, who could take over the operation of the IT environment and strengthen the security of the business. There was also interest in how AI could be included in the toolbox. Six suppliers were invited to present their proposals, and in the end Nordlo was chosen.

– IT security and AI were particularly important to us, and we also valued an IT partner with a local connection. In our meetings with Nordlo, we find that we hit it off well and that there is mutual understanding, so we feel confident that this will be a good journey for both of us, says Sigbjørn Rød at Park og Anlegg.

Nordlo will take over the operation of the Skolt Group's IT solution as it is today, but will also play an important advisory role in its future development. The collaboration will begin with a two-part start-up phase. In the initial phase, Nordlo will take over operation and support of the customer's Azure environment. Once the collaboration is up and running, Nordlo will provide ongoing operations, monitoring, licence management, backup and endpoint security and management. Nordlo will also act as the Skolt Group's service desk with SPOC responsibility.

– Proximity and business insight are the common thread that runs through everything we do at Nordlo. That way, we can deliver solutions that really fit - and that's exactly what the Skolt Group was looking for. We start by getting the collaboration up and running and seeing that everything works as it should. The Skolt Group is one of our larger customers and the digital development potential and willingness to develop is enormous, says John Arne Vonskar.
