Nordlo expands Executive Management and recruits Magnus Blomberg internally as CTO
From 1 May 2024, Magnus Blomberg, 47, will take up the position of new Chief Technical Officer, CTO, with responsibility for strategic partnerships and acquisitions. The aim is for Nordlo to increase its growth rate. The position is new to Nordlo and will be part of Group Management.
- We are appointing this key position to develop Nordlo's strategic partnerships, technology platform and public cloud services. Magnus as CTO will be fundamental in our work on new acquisitions and our growth journey, says Fredrik Almén, CEO of Nordlo.
Nordlo currently has a turnover of SEK 2.1 billion and 900 employees in 40 locations around Sweden and Norway. With the intention of increasing growth, both organically and through acquisitions, a new position has been created in Nordlo's Group management, Chief Technical Officer, CTO, to which Magnus Blomberg has been appointed.
- My remit is broad and includes evaluating new markets and areas of expertise for Nordlo, as well as reviewing potential acquisitions both commercially and technically. I'll be involved in integrating the acquisitions we then proceed with into Nordlo's group and ecosystem, says Magnus Blomberg, newly appointed CTO at Nordlo.
Quality assurance and then guiding new acquisitions into the group is a critical process. This involves ensuring that the proposed acquisitions fit into the Group, ensuring that the new company complies with the planned changes identified during the acquisition process, and also that the company can benefit from the synergies within the Nordlo Group.
The job of CTO also involves maintaining strategic partnerships, including with Microsoft, to develop and strengthen Nordlo's offering.
- Our customers are facing a major shift in areas such as security and cloud services. Nordlo needs to undertake this transformation together with our partners and customers. We must therefore continuously ensure that we have up-to-date contact with our strategic partners, so that we always have the right information and support from them.
The new position of CTO will be a bridge between both expertise and corporate culture.
- Translating technology, business and corporate culture between different competence groups is a strength I have. I've always been driven by developing new things and have been approaching acquisitions at Nordlo for several years. Now I'll have time to develop that area more, which I'm really looking forward to, says Magnus Blomberg, CTO at Nordlo.
Magnus Blomberg comes from one of the three original Nordlo companies, Zetup, which he co-founded, and has since held the position of Head of Technology.
- We know how good Magnus Blomberg is and see the potential in increasing his responsibility and authority. In addition to his new role, Magnus will continue to be an internal sounding board for our various business areas and advisor on Nordlo's technical choices and strategies, says Fredrik Almén, CEO of Nordlo.
