Nordlo becomes the new IT partner for the Port of Gothenburg
Nordlo secures the procurement with the Port of Gothenburg (Göteborgs Hamn AB), competing against several other strong players. The agreement extends up to eight years and involves the delivery of IT infrastructure, operations and support, as well as IT security for the wide-ranging logistics operations of Port of Gothenburg.
– We sought a partner who ensures a fantastic user experience for our employees. Nordlo has the capabilities to support us in daily operations and meet the high quality and security requirements we set. Together, we can face future technology challenges, says Martin Johannesson, Head of IT & Cybersecurity at the Port of Gothenburg.
The Port of Gothenburg is Scandinavia's largest port and plays a central role in Sweden's connections and trade with the outside world. The port is classified as essential to society and has high security requirements.
Nordlo is now the IT partner for the Port of Gothenburg, providing IT infrastructure, network and server operations, as well as IT security solutions and user support. The goal is to create a modern, digitized, and innovative port at the forefront, an ambition that permeates the entire operation.
– Information and cybersecurity are high on the agenda for both Nordlo and the Port of Gothenburg. We look forward to a developing journey where together we equip ourselves for the challenges and demands that come our way. The right IT support is crucial for our employees to create an efficient, sustainable, and digitally forward-leaning transport logistics. Nordlo is strong in all the areas we chose to procure and has a delivery model we believe in, says Martin Johannesson.
Nordlo will, among other things, build a completely new IT environment with a strong focus on quality and security-enhancing measures, a project that is already underway and expected to be completed by the end of March 2024.
– Both Nordlo and the Port of Gothenburg see close collaboration and business understanding as the foundation for a successful partnership. It's about understanding the technical needs of the operation, but above all, understanding and creating value for the people working at the Port of Gothenburg. We look forward to a developing partnership, built on mutual responsibility and commitment, says Ola Hammarstedt, Business Manager within the National business area at Nordlo.
