Nordlo acquires family business in Skåne: "Together with IXX, we see great potential in the region"

The Skåne-based IT company IXX IT-partner has chosen to become part of the Nordlo Group. IXX is a second-generation family business with a turnover of around SEK 100 million. Nordlo already has offices in Malmö and Helsingborg.

– Skåne is an attractive market, and IXX is the starting point for Nordlo's expansion in southern Sweden, and we expect to double our turnover within just a couple of years, says Anders Strömsten, Business Area Manager at Nordlo.

IXX IT-partner was founded by Monika Christensson in 1985 and has been run by her sons Mattias, Fredrik and Olof Christensson since the generational change in 2014. Mattias Christensson is CEO and the company has a turnover of SEK 100 million with around 50 employees. The business is located in Helsingborg, Malmö and Ängelholm and offers IT services in areas such as business development, security and cloud solutions.

– This is a natural next step for us. We've been actively looking for a partner where we can maintain our customer-oriented entrepreneurship and where IXX and our customers can continue to develop. Nordlo will give us access to more expertise and a long-term approach that benefits everyone, says Mattias Christensson, CEO of IXX.

Nordlo already has offices in Malmö and Helsingborg, with a total of around 30 employees and a turnover of SEK 50 million. The acquisition of IXX triples the company's turnover in Skåne.

– Skåne is a prioritised market, close to the continent and Copenhagen. It is also home to many growth companies that are in great demand for Nordlo's services. We've been looking for a long time for suitable companies to acquire in Skåne, and we've found the right one in IXX, says Anders Strömsten, Business Area Manager at Nordlo.

Hopes to double turnover

Nordlo hopes to double its turnover within a couple of years, and recognises that companies in the region are increasingly looking for services in digital business development, cloud solutions and IT infrastructure.

– The acquisition will enable us to improve our delivery to existing customers, increase our delivery capability and enable us to win new business. We will also have a better base for recruitment, where we will be one of the most attractive employers in IT in Skåne, says Anders Strömsten.

Mattias Christensson is positive about the future:

– It's very inspiring to take the next step with the organisation, and for the family to become part-owners of Nordlo as a result of the transaction. Nordlo shares our values and culture, and now we have the opportunity to take our customers and employees to new heights.

– Mattias Christensson is a committed and driven leader who cares about both staff and customers. This will be the starting point for Nordlo's expansion in the region, says Anders Strömsten, Business Area Manager at Nordlo.
