Nordlo acquires Appex Operations in Haugesund

Nordlo, the Nordic region’s IT and digitalisation partner, is acquiring the Norwegian IT firm Appex Operations, based in Haugesund. This is Nordlo’s third acquisition in Norway, and continues the company’s establishment as a key contender within IT and digitalisation on the Norwegian market.

“We started Nordlo’s operations in Vennesla, southern Norway, through the acquisition of IT Total. In January this year we acquired Lerøen Datapartner, in Bergen, followed by Appex Operations, a company based in Haugesund, which lies between Vennesla and Bergen along the west coast. Appex is focused on the SMB market and long-term customer relationships, achieved through local presence, a high level of service and effective IT provision, which is fully aligned with the Nordlo model. I welcome the acquisition of Appex Operation, which will further reinforce our position in Norway,” said Fredrik Almén, Group CEO at Nordlo.

With a turnover in the region of NOK 30 million, Appex Operations employs 13 people. Founded in 2011, it delivers IT operation and digitalisation solutions to small and mid-sized enterprises in Norway. The acquisition will provide Appex’s customers with access to Nordlo’s full suite of services and experts in the Nordic region. It will bring theNordlo Group’s workforce to 665 employees, based at offices in 38 sites across Sweden and Norway.

“Our business areas and products harmonise really well with Nordlo's offering, and our strengths are well suited. This will benefit both new and existing customers. Being part of the Nordlo Group also gives us access to better supplier agreements, a broader, more extensive bank of knowledge and additional resources. Nordlo’s management model also entails local operations and decision-making, which is much appreciated by the team here at Appex Operations as it will secure our future regional expansion,” explained Tore Solberg, the company’s CEO.

The acquisition will see Appex Operations change its name to Nordlo, with Tore Solberg becoming CEO of Nordlo Haugesund AS.
