to SIGI Europe

A proactive partner that can support the company's digital transformation and contribute to its continued growth. That's what global industrial technology supplier SIGI Europe was looking for in an IT supplier. The choice fell on Nordlo, which today delivers a comprehensive end-to-end solution to SIGI Europe's operations.

The partnership between Nordlo and SIGI Europe is long-established. The partnership began back in 1999, with a short break during the pandemic years, and Nordlo has since delivered the company's entire IT, including hosting, service desk and cloud. With the help of a dedicated customer team, Nordlo and SIGI Europe have established a proactive partnership characterised by strategic advice and close collaboration.

‘The close partnership has made it easier for us. We are a natural part of the work and are able to work more efficiently, both with Nordlo and internally.’ says Leif Karlsson, IT Manager at SIGI Europe. Pär Martinsson, General Manager at SIGI Europe, agrees and adds:

‘The implementation is working fantastically well. I've been involved in moving to different IT environments a number of times. But with Nordlo it felt incredibly good. They have a great team that works well with our team here.’

“I tend to get involved in many different issues and problems, but I hear very little about IT problems these days.”

Strengthening security and compliance as the next step

There's a lot going on in cyber security and compliance right now. For SIGI, this means a major investment in the introduction of the NIST cybersecurity framework, equivalent to the more familiar ISO 27000 in Europe. The introduction of NIST is also an important part of coordinating security work in a global group, which is also why the EU's updated security directive NIS2 does not work for the company.

‘The implementation of NIST is the most important project for next year. We've started the project in the US, then we'll do Europe next year and Asia the year after that. Naturally, Nordlo will be there to support us,’ Karlsson continues.

The fact that Nordlo could also deliver its services outside Sweden's borders has been important from the start. ‘It's important for us to have an IT partner that has the bandwidth to serve us in Europe too. We have sales offices in France, Germany, England and a group management in the US that we also work with. So that's an important part.’ says Pär Martinsson.

A forward-looking and smooth partnership

The partnership between Nordlo and SIGI Europe has worked well from the start. Day-to-day operations are running smoothly and the compliance project is up and running. But Nordlo also makes sure to work productively on developing, improving and optimising SIGI's IT environment.

‘Nordlo comes up with ideas and suggestions for the future. There's a lot going on in the world of Microsoft, for example, with systems and tools constantly evolving. Nordlo helps us to see what opportunities we have, how we can work with the tools and capitalise on them.’ says Leif Karlsson.

Pär Martinsson agrees and concludes. ‘The best thing for me about working with Nordlo, apart from the security, experience and proactivity, is that everything just works. I tend to get involved in many different issues and problems, but I hear very little about IT problems these days.’
