LAPP Miltronic gives Nordlo continued trust thanks to smooth running IT solutions
LAPP Miltronic and Nordlo’s long-standing partnership began when LAPP realised it needed a provider that could manage large parts of its IT environment. When the contract term was recently about to expire, LAPP Miltronic decided to extend the contract due to the excellent relationship between the parties.
LAPP Miltronic is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the LAPP Group, which means its local IT environment has to operate and interact with the central IT environment located in Germany.
”The services provided by Nordlo give us peace of mind in our daily operations as well as for the future. Nordlo is helping to take us where we want to be, so extending our partnership was a simple decision.”
Nordlo delivers IT as a service, which spans server management, workplace, communication, security, network, printing and service desk solutions. As well as these services, Nordlo provides system development and consulting services and functions as an extended arm between LAPP Miltronic's local and central IT environments.
“LAPP has transferred responsibility of its IT operations to us, so we now function as its IT department. Users call our service desk regarding support cases, which makes everyday work easier for those with whom we have local IT dialogue,” said Jörgen Rickmo, Business Manager at Nordlo.
“It’s important to have an efficient IT environment in our day-to-day work. The local availability provided by Nordlo is really important for us, and the IT partnership we have gives us peace of mind in our daily work and support on how to effectively navigate the future IT landscape,” said Krister Karlsson, Managing Director of LAPP Miltronic.
In addition to day-to-day operation, the partnership includes support and advice on digitalisation issues, with a great deal of focus on how LAPP Miltronic’s business can be developed with the help of IT. Among other things, this has led to Nordlo developing a quotation function which handles LAPP Miltronic’s products, prices and quote generation.
“We work each day towards creating value for our customers, and much of what we do at present could be automated. Nordlo challenges us, and we need that type of approach in order to succeed,” he adds.
