Today, Nordlos’ service desk and customer teams support all of Greencarrier’s locations worldwide.
From individual projects to global collaboration
The collaboration between Greencarrier and Nordlo dates back to 2012 and covers different projects and consultancy assignments. In 2014, this led to Greencarrier’s choice of Nordlo as its strategic partner for global IT infrastructure. Today, Nordlo’s service desk and customer teams support all of Greencarrier’s locations worldwide. A number of improvement projects are underway to further streamline the central infrastructure and implement cloud services in close collaboration with the day-to-day logistics operation.
“Since we began our journey, a number of improvement projects have been carried out to harmonise and simplify a previously complex IT environment.”
The logistics industry is characterised by constant change with increasing demands for the efficient management of transportation, transparency and interaction with customers and suppliers in the value chain. IT forms an important basis for Greencarrier’s customer offer and its ambition of remaining at the leading edge in terms of innovative, sustainable and customer-focused logistics solutions. Since the journey began, a number of improvement projects have been carried out to harmonise and simplify a previously complex IT environment. A scalable IT platform with standardised IT services is an essential condition for Greencarrier’s continued growth, in which a number of company acquisitions were announced in the past year.
One challenge concerned finding smarter solutions for the global IT environment, where Nordlo helped provide efficient services to meet the high reliability and accessibility requirements. The activities resulted in a gradual transition from an in-house IT environment to infrastructure as a service. “The collaboration was characterised by an open, constructive dialogue in which Nordlo’s dedicated employees contributed their thoroughly dependable expertise to establish and maintain our IT services. So it’s natural for us to continue the journey and our collaboration,” says Simon Hellmuth, IT manager at Greencarrier.
