“My aim is always that the user will immediately experience and see the benefit – because when something makes your work and your everyday life easier, you don’t want to go back”

Background

I’ve been working in the IT industry for seven years, with a background as a microwave engineer, when I was in the telecoms industry working with mobile telephony and radio links.

My role as a microwave engineer saw me being a designer, development manager and project manager. Experiences from all these roles are a great benefit to me in my current work. I’ve always felt it’s important to understand the big picture within a company, which also helps me when I’m out visiting a customer.

I started at Nordlo as a salesperson, but I’ve also worked as project manager before switching to the role of productivity consultant.

Areas of expertise

I have broad knowledge of Microsoft 365 with a strong focus on Teams. To be able to do my work, I make sure I familiarise myself with both the user perspective and the technical perspective.

In my role, I need to have knowledge of Microsoft 365, and it’s also necessary to understand the business and how the individual user can best get started with the new tools.

Assignment

Much of what I do is based on customised setups for the customer. We find out where they are in their use of digital tools and discuss their goals for the future. Based on this, I help draw up a plan for getting it all into place.

When we help a customer on their digitalisation journey, it can involve anything from basic training and seminars to developing mobile apps (PowerApps), an intranet or work methods for document management. My aim is always that the user will immediately experience and see the benefit – because when something makes your work and your everyday life easier, you don’t want to go back.
