Support Consultant, Nordlo in Haugesund

”In the future I believe that traditional IT services and systems might become even more simplified, making them even more user-friendly for the users, and also for those that maintain them. Apart from that, I believe there’s an increasing focus on security, because of the rising number of attempted data breaches.”

Tell us about your role at Nordlo

I work as First-Line support at Nordlo’s helpdesk in Haugesund. My duties largely involve registering ongoing customer cases and resolving support assignments. I also have some administrative work, including invoicing our services and following up on customer questions.

What did you do before?

I spent ten years working at Appex before we became part of Nordlo. Previously, I worked as a department manager, marketing consultant and six years as shop manager.

Can you describe a normal working day for you?

My days usually begin at seven o’clock, when I start by going through incoming cases, helping to resolve or forward them. Apart from that, most of my days are spent on ongoing support cases and follow-up. I also have a variety of duties that involve finance, administration and follow-up on service and customer agreements.

”It means a lot for the work environment that everyone gets to be involved in influencing decisions and how we should work”

What’s Nordlo like as a workplace?

Nordlo is an exciting, forward-looking company that’s growing. I appreciate being part of something bigger and having a wide network of contacts with lots of different competences. I feel that I learn something new every day. In the future, I really look forward to getting to know even more of my Nordlo colleagues!

What challenges do you see for the industry in the future?

Looking ahead, I think that traditional IT services and systems will become even more user-friendly, making them easier to handle for end users and those who maintain them.

Not able to find a role that suits you?

At Nordlo we constantly look for people with IT competence and a passion for sustainable change, where our innovation shape the future within IT and digitisation. Even if we are not looking for a specific role at this very moment, we are always keen to hear from you who wishes to work with us. Please feel free to send us your application here.
