Tell us about your role at Nordlo
My role as an IT Consultant is extremely varied, and a working day can involve anything from cases that come into support to troubleshooting and installations. As a newcomer at Nordlo I’m open to all possible challenges that come along, and I look forward to discovering all the competence to be found within the company.

What’s a normal working day like for you?
A normal day in the office starts with a morning meeting where we run through how the day’s looking and are allocated various jobs. The work then varies, depending on whether I’m in the office or out at one of our customers’ premises. If I’m in the office, I deal with the cases that need looking at, if I’m stationed at one of our customers, I adapt the day according to their preferences.

What kind work have you done in the past?
Originally I qualified as a hairdresser and ran my own salon for eight years. But when I chose a change of career direction, I decided to study to become an IT developer, and it was above all network technology that captured my interest. So I chose to specialise as an IT security engineer, and during my studies I did my work experience at Nordlo in Gävle. When I finished my studies I was invited to stay, that was an offer I just couldn’t refuse!

What’s Nordlo like as a workplace?
At Nordlo you really get the chance to develop, as Nordlo specialises in so many different areas, so I get to try my hand in many different areas, which is extremely educational for me. All my colleagues always do their best and look out for me, so I feel secure and comfortable at work.

What are the challenges you face in everyday life at Nordlo?
The biggest challenge right now is to apply everything I’ve learned during my studies in practice. If I feel the challenges are too demanding, it’s good to be able to turn to a supportive team with expertise in different areas.

What advice would you give someone who wants to work at Nordlo?
Don’t hesitate to apply to us! Nordlo’s a place that allows you to develop, which means that it feels secure, even though you’re faced with new challenges every day. Nordlo is a particularly good workplace if you’re a problem-solver and enjoy social situations, as we work closely with our customers.
