Tell us about your role at Nordlo
I work as Finance Manager at Nordlo in Vennesla. I’m responsible for everything from accounts, budgets and invoicing to reporting. I also have a senior role at Group level in Norway, where I provide support in the financial process for both new and established offices in Norway, as well as serving as a link between the Norwegian offices and Group management in Sweden.
What have you done or worked with previously?
Having completed my education, I spent three years working as an accountant. During those years I worked with many companies of different sizes and in different industries. Eventually I realised I’d like to work with one company, and that’s when I became Finance Manager at Nordlo in Vennesla.
What does a normal working day look like for you?
Working in finance, I have a lot of deadlines to meet, which means a lot of routine work. But there’s a constant series of questions and challenges from clients, colleagues and management to make the working day varied, challenging and exciting.
What is Nordlo like as a workplace?
I really enjoy working in a local office that’s part of something bigger. You get to know your colleagues in the office, but with an increase in the use of video meetings and other digital communication, distances shrink and the threshold is lowered when it comes to making contact with colleagues at other locations. Having many people working towards the same goal means you can benefit from lots of employees with different competences and levels of experience. There’s always someone to ask, and we can learn from one another.
What challenges do you face in everyday work at Nordlo?
At Nordlo, we’re working to develop and expand our business area. We’re also constantly adding new offices. This means that I get new jobs I haven’t done before, and problems arise that I haven’t dealt with before. That challenges me to think innovatively and creatively.
What advice would you give someone who wants to work at Nordlo?
Nordlo is constantly developing, and we’re growing with more offices in both Norway and Sweden. If you’re curious about us and about who we are, I’d recommend you to get in touch to find out about the opportunities to join us on our exciting journey!
